BMW have released the stunning details of their BMW 7 Series cornerstone; the BMW M760Li xDrive.
A 12-cylinder petrol engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology ensures that the potent strength behind the latest 7 Series is a force to be reckoned with; but is still blissful to handle. The 6.6-litre V12 produces 610 hp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 800 Nm; all while producing a frugal 294 g/km of CO2. Racing from 0 to 62 mph in a spine-tingling 3.7 seconds, the electronically-governed top speed of 155 mph is enough to give you goosebumps.
Despite the feisty capability of the M760Li xDrive, it remains calm and collected, thanks to a ground-breaking eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission as standard, as well as an Executive Drive Pro suspension to keep the ride as comfortable as possible. Riding strong on striking 12-inch M light-alloy wheels in matt Cerium Grey metallic, intuitive rear-biased BMW xDrive all-wheel technology gives the vehicle a hearty grip on a wealth of challenging road surfaces; distributing power to all four wheels as required, energy is maximised, but never wasted.
The intelligence strides on with an Active Steering system, adjusting the steering angle of the rear wheels depending on automatic feedback of the terrain. This reduces the effort of steering at low speeds, as well as allowing for a truly dynamic driving experience.
Technology in the M760Li xDrive is ample, with a touch-display infotainment system which also detects hand movements by 3D sensor control; simple gestures can allow one to communicate with the car’s entertainment and connectivity nerve centre, reducing distraction.
Safety innovations are also brought to the fore in the M760Li xDrive, featuring a Steering and Lane Control assistant, Lane Keeping assistant, active side collision protection, Rear Collision protection and Crossing Traffic warning functions.
