C1

New Citroën C1

The dinky C1 is a brilliant introduction to Citroën ownership, with a small footprint and a big attitude.

Cheeky looks

The C1’s fun-packed personality is there for all to see, starting with a smile-inducing face - with eyebrows!

It’s offered with either three or five doors, and as an Airscape model with a retractable fabric roof for open-air driving. All feature a floating roof, and you can opt for a two-tone paint scheme by electing Feel or Flair trim.

Chic 15-inch alloy wheels also come on Flair trim, while regularly-updated special edition trim levels are also offered.

… that continue inside

Settle into the supportive and comfortable seats and you’ll find yourself smiling. The bijou cabin is perfectly laid out, with superb visibility.

Optional interior colour packs are affordable and allow you to put your own cool twist on the surroundings, while air conditioning (standard on the Feel trim and above) keeps things feel cool too.

The boot is a useful size, big enough for a couple’s weekly shop or a couple of generously-sized weekend bags. When you need more room, fold the rear seats flat; on Feel and Flair models, they split so you can carry a rear seat passenger while still squeezing in that all-important flat-pack essential.

Engines and handling

Your C1 is powered by a choice of frugal and willing turbocharged petrol engines. The 1.0-litre VTi boasts 67bhp, while the PureTeach 1.2 has 81bhp. Both emit less than 100g/km of CO2 and return over 65mpg, meaning affordable running costs for you.

It’s perfect for the city, with lightweight steering and a tiny footprint that make it easy to thread through tight gaps in traffic. Choose the 1.0-litre’s ETG automatic gearbox option if you prefer to let the car change its own gears.

Technology and safety

Every C1 comes with an MP3-compatible stereo with USB sockets to charge your phone, for added convenience. The centre console on Feel and Flair models is dominated by the seven-inch touchscreen called Touch Drive, which allows you to use the navigation apps on your smartphone, stream music and read messages. This system also integrates a DAB digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

All C1s are fitted with six airbags, hill-start control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, Electronic Stability Programme and ISOFIX child seat anchor points too. Choose Active City Brake for automated braking in traffic, and Lane Departure Warning to alert you against drifting out of lane.
