Citroen goes back to its routes with the C4 Cactus. Innovative thinking, distinctive looks and terrific value for money combine in this quirky and likeable family SUV.
The futuristic C4 Cactus introduces a totally new innovation to the car market: AirBumps.
Cleverly designed, these air-filled pockets sit on the doors to prevent expensive damage to the bodywork caused by errant shopping trolleys and hastily-opened doors in narrow parking spaces. They come in a choice of three colours to match your chosen colour scheme too.
Slim daytime running lights sit high up on the rounded nose, with chunky wheel arches and roof rails adding to the mini-SUV character. Opt for Flair trim to enjoy the largest alloy wheels.
The simplified cabin of the C4 Cactus leaves you free to focus on the business of driving. A seven-inch central touchscreen is your control panel for everything from the DAB digital radio to the heating and ventilation.
Comfortable seats and leather grab handles, with thoughtful touches dotted everywhere, remind that this was designed as a usable and comfortable everyday vehicle. Opt for the panoramic sunroof to flood the interior with endless light.
And when you need to carry awkwardly-shaped loads, the large, deep boot can be expanded by folding the rear seats down.
Citroen has created the C4 Cactus to provide affordable family motoring, so it’s designed to be lightweight, with efficient engines. That weight-saving regime provides nimble handling through the bends.
Choose from four engines: a PureTech 1.2-litre with 74, 81 or 109bhp; or a 1.6-litre Blue HDi diesel with 98bhp.
All are designed to offer low CO2 emissions, great fuel economy and a comfortable, relaxed drive. Emissions are as low as 89g/km in the diesel if you specify the ETG semi-automatic gearbox, but never more than 107g/km, and every model can achieve over 60mpg.
Every C4 Cactus features home comforts you’ve come to expect, like cruise control, USB sockets for charging your phone, electric front windows and door mirrors. Six airbags, stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system are standard
Upgrading to Feel trim and you’ll also enjoy air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. Top-range Flair models add satellite navigation, rear parking sensors and a camera, plus climate control, automatic lights and tinted rear glass.
