Citroen have revamped their immensely popular C3 model, having sold 3.6 million units since the first generation hit the road in 2002.
With 3 roof and 9 body colours to choose from, the new C3 has 36 possible exterior combinations to play with; that’s a lot of personalisation to enjoy. There’s no doubt that whatever you choose, the new C3 will make a statement – a high bonnet line and bold wheel arches give the vehicle a commanding presence on the road, despite its compact size. Offering undeniable SUV vibes, the new C3 has the DNA of a crossover vehicle and thus keeps its design language ahead of the curve. The model’s instantly identifiable Airbump panels are, of course, still an option on the new version; protecting against minor bumps and scrapes, your new C3 will stay looking fresh when faced with everyday perils that would usually cause scuffs and chips.
Citroen’s Advanced Comfort programme ensures that the interior of the new C3 will become a home-away-from-home. Sumptuous seats and a panoramic glass sunroof make every drive a pleasure, while also boasting the most spacious cabins in the segment; an extra 22mm of legroom and a 300-litre boot certainly put the ‘super’ in supermini.
ConnectedCAM Citroen technology is included in the new C3, showing off interactive innovation that most small cars can only dream of. A wide-angle HD camera, placed just below the rear-view mirror, is pumped with GPS technology and 128GB of memory; photos and videos can safely be captured and then shared via social media, thanks to a free app. Also operating as a conventional dashcam, the footage provides an extra element of security in the event of an accident.
A 7-inch colour touchscreen in the dashboard opens up a world of vehicle controls, including CitroenConnect Nav; all of which can be operated by touch or voice.
Beneath the bonnet, the new Citroen C3 packs a punch. The same award-winning technology which won Engine of the Year in 2015 and 2016 is present in this model, through three PureTech three-cylinder engines; PureTech 68, 82 and 110 (Stop & Start), and two Diesel powertrains; BlueHDi 75 (Stop & Start) and 100 (Stop & Start).
Order books are already open for the new Citroen C3, with the model officially on sale from the 3rd of January 2017. Priced from £10,995 for the Touch trim level, be sure to visit www.marshall.co.uk/citroen to find out more and arrange a test drive.
