With its curtain raised at the Go Further event in Germany, the new Ford Fiesta has been hailed the most innovative small car in the world, with a host of enviable technology features which are unparalleled in the compact segment.
Both safety and convenience are covered in the Ford Fiesta’s technology line-up. Pedestrian Detection helps prevent accidents with people on foot when visibility is poor, while Active Park Assist provides additional braking where low-speed knocks are prevalent.
The new Ford Fiesta also boasts a host of infotainment features; a premium B&O PLAY Sound System keeps music crisp, while SYNC 3 connectivity displays information across floating high-definition touchscreens.
Under the hood, the Ford Fiesta shows off a 140PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost, or the model’s flagship high power diesel; the 120PS 1.5-litre TDCi. Both are supported by a new six-speed transmission and frugal emissions from 82g/km CO2.
The new Ford Fiesta is a fun and dynamic drive, enhanced by new suspension and Electronic Torque Vectoring Control; cornering grip is improved by 10%, while braking distances are reined in by 8%, resulting in a truly exciting experience on the road.
