Maserati's premium four-seater convertible, the Grancabrio, receives an even more aerodynamic Sport model.
The new Maserati Grancabrio Sport takes is every convertible-lover's dream, a curvaceous, low to the ground sports car that never trades elegance for an allusion to the brute force of its engine. The Maserati Grancabrio Sport opts instead for refined lines that travel all the way from the top of the narrow grille, travelling over the chic, slim headlights to create an even greater perception of length on what is already a sizeable luxury car. Whilst 20” alloy wheels may come as standard, there is a choice of no less than 11 designs on offer.
The interior of the new Maserati Grancabrio Sport offers drivers and passengers a seamless blend of comfort and style. The design of the seating has received a complete overhaul, with new frames available in carbon-fibre adding up to 20mm to the space in the rear as well as offering integrated headrests. The seats and steering column are also fully adjustable to provide the best individual driving set-up possible. The finest leather is used generously throughout, especially on the well-stuffed sports seats, and there is a choice of wood finish for the dashboard and side panels.
With the new Grancabrio Sport, Maserati have taken the decision not to include a choice of engines. Instead, they have hand picked the best engine for the job of powering this high-end convertible through cities, countryside and racetracks. To that end, the Grancabrio Sport packs a 4.7-litre V8 petrol engine that will give you a boosted 460bhp and a top speed of 177 mph. It can also reach 0-62mph in five seconds. Flat.
Maserati know that you will want to protect both your car and your loved ones when purchasing a Grancabrio Sport, and that's why it is packed full of safety technology. For a start there are several anti-theft devices available as standard, including vehicle-tracking, an immobiliser and driver recognition should anybody attempt to steal your convertible. The Grancabrio Sport also makes every effort to provide protection in the event of an accident, with airbags, ABS and ESP on board as well as a multitude of specialist driving configurations to choose from whatever the road conditions.
