Mercedes-Benz, one of Germany's best-known and meticulously reliable car manufacturers, has released a new A-Class Hatchback that looks better than ever before.
The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Hatchback is a hot hatch in every sense of the word. The German manufacturer, possibly better known for imbuing its designs with a stoic, stately, elegance, has remoulded the A-Class to be more attention-grabbing than ever before and it's a gamble that has paid off. The A1 comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, but it's the flat nose (complete with a proudly displayed Mercedes-Benz badge) and multitude of well-defined lines flowing down the vehicle's side that draw the eye.
As you would expect from a high-end manufacturer such as Mercedes-Benz, the A-Class Hatchback is an exceptionally comfortable and supportive place to sit. The driving position can be customised to suit your needs exactly, thanks to fully adjustable seats and even an adjustable steering wheel. The upholstery meanwhile is decked out in a delightfully tactile man-made leather that offers grip, comfort and support, whilst the dashboard's quality plastics are frequently accented with metallic trim. The front seats are heated as standard, and there is also the option to include lumbar support.
As a car designed to have a broad appeal, the new Mercedes-Benz A1-Hatchback comes equipped with a range of different engine choices to suit anybody's taste and needs. When you buy a new A1-Hatchback you can choose between a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel, a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel, a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol or a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Hatchback comes in a range of handling options, but for the most responsive results you should opt to have the adaptive dampers installed.
Mercedes-Benz is a company that prides itself on the safety of its cars, and the new A-Class Hatchback is no exception. Blind Spot Assist and Active Braking Assist comes as standard, as does a Lane Keeping Assist system for motorways, whilst other optional extras include the innovative Parking Pilot.
A CD player comes as standard, but you can choose to add a DAB digital radio as an extra, whilst those who travel often may wish to plump for the Garmin MAP PILOT satellite navigation unit.
The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Hatchback has received a five-star crash safety rating from the experts at Euro NCAP.
