The Peugeot 508 is a

The stately 508 comes in Active, Allure, GT Line, GT and RXH trim levels, and its exterior features include lightweight and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured door mirrors. The latter perfectly complement the vehicle’s Bianca White livery, which comes as standard. A range of striking optional colours includes Egyptian Blue, Nera Black and Cumulus Grey. Standard illumination includes automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED indicators.
Front-seat occupants are treated to adjustable positions, and the driver further benefits from electrically adjustable lumbar support (which is also available for front-row passengers with Allure grades and above). Other standard features include a full-grain leather multifunction steering wheel, power-assisted steering, speed-limiting cruise control, one-touch electric windows and automatic dual-zone climate control. A range of diesel engines is available for the 508, including the most fuel-efficient option, a 1.6-litre 118bhp unit, which is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. This comes with entry-level Active trims, and returns as much as 74.3mpg and produces CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km. The most potent engine is a 2.0-litre 179bhp unit which is fitted with six-speed automatic transmission. Available with GT and RXH grades, this produces 295Nm of torque, 0-60mph in roughly 8.7 seconds and a top speed of 143mph.
A seven-inch multifunction colour touchscreen, DAB digital radio, a CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and AUX inputs and satellite navigation are all included as standard.
The 508 comes with a five-star Euro NCAP rating, and driving aids include Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and rear parking assist. Allure trims and higher also feature blind-spot monitoring and add a front parking aid. Standard passive safety features include multiple airbags, ISOFIX anchor points (with top tethers) and seatbelt reminders.
The vehicle is kept as secure as possible thanks to the inclusion of a Thatcham-approved Category 1 alarm, deadlocks and an engine immobiliser.
