The SEAT Alhambra is a spacious and well-specified seven-seat MPV which provides easy access to all passengers.
The Alhambra comes in S, SE and SE Lux trim levels and its sliding rear side doors enable simple entry and exit. A number of eye-catching elements include a chrome front radiator grille, 16-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured fixtures such as bumpers, door handles and door mirrors. The latter are fitted with integrated LED indicators, and further illumination includes electric range-adjustable twin headlights and daytime running lights. Dark-tinted rear windows are available with SE and SE Lux grades, as are chrome-finished roof rails. SE Lux trims sport a panoramic glass roof, complete with an electrically powered opening front pane and sunshade.
Each seat is full-size, providing a comfortable environment for occupants. Front-row travellers are treated to height-adjustable and lumbar-supporting positions (SE Lux grades feature 12-way power-adjustable front seats), and the driver further benefits from a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. Other standard features include power-assisted steering, an electric handbrake, electric front and rear windows, three-zone climate control, front and rear reading lights and a minimum of two 12-volt power points (depending on the selected trim).
The vehicle’s second and third row fold flat to the floor and outer seats on the second row slide and pivot, enabling straightforward access. Boot space measures 267 litres (all seats up), rising to 809 litres (third row folded), and as much as 2,297 litres (second and third row folded).
A standard-issue 1.4-litre 148bhp petrol engine delivers up to 39.2mpg and a 167g/km CO2 emission figure. The most fuel-efficient option (also available with S grades) is a 2.0-litre 113bhp diesel unit, which returns as much as 50.4mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 146g/km. All engines come with Start/Stop system and Energy Recovery System.
The Alhambra is fitted with with an MP3-compatible CD player, an FM radio and Bluetooth and AUX connectivity. SE grades include a USB interface, and SE Lux trims feature eight loudspeakers, DAB radio, an SD input, a five-inch colour touchscreen and a satellite navigation system.
The vehicle has been awarded a maximum five-star Euro NCAP rating, and driver aids include Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, tiredness-detection system and front and rear parking sensors. Multiple airbags, global three-point seatbelts, and seatbelt reminders, ISOFIX anchorage points (and top tethers) and child-proof locks are among the vehicle’s passive safety features.
The Alhambra is secured with remote central locking (with deadlocks), an electronic engine immobiliser and a volumetric alarm.
