SKODA have truly invaded the SUV market over the past year, with the ever-popular Yeti and benchmark Kodiaq changing the game across the segment. The Czech brand are far from finished with their product onslaught, however; the all-new Karoq has been thrust into the limelight this morning, keeping up the pace of innovative new vehicles within its SUV catalogue.
Named in reference to the language of the Alutiiq tribe (which also influenced the Kodiaq), Karoq is a blend of ‘kka’raq’ (car) and ‘ruq’ (arrow); a nod to SKODA’s logo. Due to hit the target in regard to pioneering technology and look-twice aesthetics, the new SUV promises to not only be cornerstone of SKODA’s existing range, but a hint of the DNA in imminent future releases.
The curtain will be lifted in Stockholm on the 18th of May, giving the public their first glimpse of the Karoq; sales will commence later this year, with exact dates yet to be revealed.
