The Vauxhall Vivaro possesses a versatile platform which makes it ideal as a large van or people carrier – or a combination of both.
The Vivaro comes in nine different configurations: four Panel Van models, two Doublecab and two Combi iterations and a Platform Cab.
The Panel Van features a sliding door on the passenger side (the Combi features one on each flank) and twin hinged rear doors. Standard features include power-adjustable and heated door mirrors, daytime running lights and 16-inch wheels, while 17-inch alloys can be selected as an optional extra.
The Combi additionally features heated rear windows with wash/wipe facility.
There are four standard paint schemes to choose from, including Ink Blue, Spring Green, Glacier White and Iron Grey, as well as a range of optional colours.
The Vivaro provides the driver with a six-way-adjustable seat (with armrest) and a rake-and-reach-adjustable steering wheel. To his or her left is a dual passenger seat. Other standard features include electric front windows and powered dual-lens exterior rear-view mirrors.
The vehicle’s sound system includes DAB radio and an AM/FM radio, each providing a wealth of audio content. Bluetooth connectivity and USB and AUX inputs are featured as standard too.
The Doublecab additionally features a three-person rear bench that includes under-seat storage. The Combi can seat as many as nine people and each of its rear rows are removable, providing flexible cargo options.
The Panel Van features a full-height steel bulkhead. Depending on the body style selected, the Vivaro’s load volume ranges from 5,200 litres to 8,600 litres.
The vehicle is installed with a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which can be selected with one of four power outputs: 94bhp, 118bhp, 123bhp and 143bhp. Fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures vary from 40.4mpg to 50.4mpg, and 181g/km to 149g/km respectively. All but the 118bhp option come with Start/Stop system as standard.
Standard driver aids – across all Vivaro models – include Anti-lock Braking System and Electronic Stability Programme-plus. The Combi also features Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. A driver’s airbag is included with each iteration, while the Combi adds a front passenger’s airbag. All variants feature remote-controlled central deadlocking.
