Showcasing dynamic driving at its best, the Kia ProCeed merges stunning design with the space and versatility of a tourer in a five-door shooting brake body.
With the DNA of a coupe, the Kia ProCeed is lower and longer than both the Ceed five-door hatchback and Sportswagon, giving it a unique raked-back silhouette unlike anything in the family car segment. Despite the sloping roof, three adults will still be able to comfortably occupy the rear seats. Plus, a 594 litre boot capacity with 40:20:40 split folding seats have been designed to adapt to all your needs (grade dependant). Inside, the ProCeed has it all and features the same ergonomic cabin as the new Ceed and Ceed Sportswagon; characterised by high-quality soft-touch surfaces and a 7" floating touchscreen infotainment system. A redesigned dashboard is now angled more towards you, for ease of use and accessibility.
Entry-level ProCeed models benefit from Full-Width LED Brake Lights, Dual Automatic Air-Conditioning, a Stop/Start Engine button with Smart Entry System, 8" Touchscreen with Satellite Navigation, European Mapping and Traffic Messaging Channel, smartphone connectivity via Android Auto™ & Apple CarPlay™ with Voice Control and a Reversing Camera System with Dynamic Guidelines. Not bad for a base-level model! Upgrade to a ‘GT-Line S’ and enjoy heated front seats and steering wheel that provides warmth and comfort on cold mornings, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality, panoramic sunroof with tilt/slide function and electric roll blinds, Smart Park Assist that uses front, side and rear sensors to aid parallel, angled and perpendicular parking, Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and a premium JBL Sound System with eight strategically placed speakers impeccably tuned to the New ProCeed cabin.
Although only two trim levels are available, there is four powertrain options consisting of three petrols and a single diesel. The entry-level ProCeed has a turbocharged 1.0 three-cylinder petrol engine providing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque and is offered alongside a punchier 1.4 four-cylinder engine that gives 138bhp and 242Nm of torque. The most powerful engine has been reserved or the ProCeed GT though and includes a turbocharged, high performance 1.6 set to produce 201bhp and 265Nm. As standard, all engine are fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic option available across al variants expect with the 1.0 engine.
Drive wise with Kia’s latest driver assistance technology. With less to worry about, driving really is a pleasure. The innovative Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) is standard across the Kia ProCeed range. It actively warns you if your vehicle begins to leave the lane by sending visual and audible alerts and if necessary, the ProCeed’s power-steering will apply light counter-steering to help stay on track. High Beam Assist, ISOFIX points, Driver Attention Warning, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Electronic Stability Control all feature as standard. Opt for a higher trim-level model and Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) with Pedestrian/Cyclist Protection features, providing you with warning signals and automatic brake application if you don’t react to pedestrian activity that could result in a potential collision.
