Whether you are driving to the office or going on a more adventurous trip, the most powerful Golf Estate in our range with 235 kW (320 PS) and maximum torque of 420 Nm performs at the highest level and exudes power that you can feel every time you get behind the wheel. The 2.0 l TSI engine with 4MOTION and 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) develops enough force to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The Golf R Estate combines breathtaking agility with powerful design.

R-Performance package

This package allows you to experience your passion for motorsport. Tailored to the Nordschleife track at the Nürburgring, the Golf R Estate equipped with the optional R-Performance Package increases the electronic limit on the top speed from 250 km/h to 270 km/h. The “Drift” and “Special” driving profiles guarantee goosebumps at the touch of a button – and extraordinary driving performance. A further highlight in the package: 19-inch “Estoril” alloy wheels, available in black with a burnished finish or simply black.

R-Performance torque vectoring 

Thanks to R-Performance Torque Vectoring, the Golf R Estate does not stray from its course. The technology distributes the drive force variably between the left and right rear wheels, resulting in higher cornering speeds with excellent traction, driving stability, as well as exceptional longitudinal and lateral dynamics.

Exterior 

The new Golf R Estate wears its identity with pride. The characteristic bumpers and the sill extensions in the same colour as the vehicle are markers of its originality. Blue strips in the radiator grille and exterior mirrors in matt chrome add that certain something to the optional R-specific Lapiz Blue paintwork. The high-gloss black diffuser sets the stage fittingly for the four-branch sports exhaust system with chrome-plated twin tailpipes. For those who watch it disappear into the distance on the road ahead, it leaves a pleasantly lasting impression.​​​

Driving profiles 

The “Special” driving profile was designed especially for the Nordschleife track at the Nürburgring. Individual adjustments – such as the optional DCC adaptive chassis control function or special tuning of the lateral dynamics via the vehicle dynamics manager, as well as tuning the engine and transmission to achieve racetrack suitability – perfectly adapts the new Golf R Estate to the challenges of the legendary track.

The “Drift” driving profile allows you to pull off spectacular drifts. The adjusted ESC and power distribution via R-Performance Torque Vectoring makes dreams come true on private tracks.​​

Digital cockpit 

The Digital Cockpit Pro allows you to experience analogue driving pleasure digitally and will excite anyone who loves life in the fast lane. The exclusive R-View with horizontal rev counter gives the cockpit that special R-character. In manual gearbox mode, flashing gear-change indicators suggest the best pace in the “Special” and “Drift” driving profiles.​​
