Maserati's four-seater, convertible sports car gets an even faster, even more desirable model in the shape of the Grancabrio MC.
Every inch of the new Maserati Grancabrio MC is quintessentially Maserati. It's unmistakeable, even before you cast your eyes towards the famous Trident on the grille. The Grancabrio is an astonishing looking vehicle whether the roof is up or down, and the Grancabrio MC takes an already stunning design and adds exclusive touches. The vents at the front now swoop underneath the low narrow grille to leave it suspended in mid-air. Aerodynamic lines pull the eye across the triple air intakes and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Maserati is well-known for having fashion-house sensibility when it comes to the interior of its cars, and whilst the Grancabrio MC contains an enviable amount of leather and even a choice of wood decals for the side panels and dashboards, it's also an exceptionally ergonomic place to be. As well as adjustable seats and steering column, the seats have been redesigned on new frames with integrated headrests. If you choose the carbon-fibre option, the new seats also add 20mm of space in the rear, whilst the rethought steering wheel brings a new flatter design for increased visibility.
The new Maserati Grancabrio MC is only available with one choice of engine, but rest assured that what you get is the very best engine possible to power this unique convertible. What you get under the hood when you buy a Grancabrio MC is a 4.7-litre V8 petrol engine that uses 383lb/ft of torque to generate 453bhp. All of that ensures that the Grancabrio will travel from 0-60mph in under five seconds, so thankfully there is also a superior set of brakes included, with Maserati's patented Dual Cast system, with aluminium and steel brake discs gripped tight by Brembo callipers.
When you buy a high-performance sports car, you need to be sure that it will protect you in any eventuality. That's why the new Maserati Grancabrio MC comes with a full set of airbags as well as driving-enhancement systems to increase stability, such as ESP and ABS. There are also three driving settings to choose from, which reconfigure the car to help it cope with specific conditions such as winter ice and snow.
Maserati has also included several anti-theft technologies, with vehicle-tracking, driver recognition and an immobiliser helping to keep your vehicle safe.
