M + XR = Unmatched Long-Distance Performance
The perfect formula for a ride that blends M-level performance with XR’s long-distance prowess. Thanks to its exceptional ergonomics and Pro and RACE riding modes, you won’t want to step off. But it’s more than just top-tier equipment—the M XR is built for versatility, excelling in sport, touring, and even two-up riding. For those who crave even more agility, the optional M Competition package further reduces weight, ensuring maximum dynamic performance on every road.
Lots of carbon, M brakes, M winglets, and the Race Pro riding modes: the M XR delivers the complete M experience. With a weight of only approx. 223 kg, or even lighter with the optional M Competition package, it is a true lightweight. Its outstanding ergonomics allow you to ride for miles and miles – it is a true XR, after all. The BMW ShiftCam four-cylinder engine from the RR, which has been adapted for the XR, provides over 200 hp (147 kW) to help you achieve speeds of up to 280 km/h, in case you’re after an adrenaline kick.
Raw Power at Your Command
Swing a leg over, and there’s no doubt—the M XR is built for speed, topping out at over 275 km/h. It rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and hits 200 km/h in 7.4. At its core is the BMW ShiftCam four-cylinder engine from the RR, tuned specifically for the XR, delivering 201 hp (147 kW) at a peak 14,600 rpm. Paired with a sport gearbox featuring shorter ratios in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear, along with a reduced secondary ratio, the M XR is engineered for high-performance long-distance riding. Whenever you’re ready, it’s built to take the lead.
