The BMW R1200 R combines dynamic performance, design and athletic road presence to create a powerful all-rounder.
The R1200 R is tight, compact and muscular by design.
The inherited upside-down telescopic fork based on the pattern of the S 1000 RR not only gives the R1200 R a striking appearance, but also ensures stability and precise handling.
Its sharply-drawn lines that run along the fuel tank and then seamlessly transition across the seat to the rear, gives the R1200 R a look that matches its performance and lets you know what to expect from the second you lay eyes on it.
You can customise your R1200 R to suit your personality. You can leave it in the standard paint finish, Racing Red, but there are now two additional style variants you can choose from, a Light White with Cordoba blue tape and exclusive Thunder Grey metallic.
The range of fittings available for the R 1200 R is especially impressive: tank rucksack, BMW Navigator V and four different windshields are the perfect preparation for a big tour.
The R1200 R has a new twin-cylinder boxer engine that provides you with 125bhp and 125Nm of torque, offering power and forward movement whenever you need it.
If you opt for the active electronically controlled suspension system, your R1200 R will still be easy to control and will offer stability on any road.
Every R1200 R comes with two standard modes, Rain and Road. You can switch between the two with the simple press of a button at any time as you ride, which will help you adapt to the weather conditions and road surface you are facing.
If you choose the optional DTC, you are able to use the available power effectively at any time, in any conditions. You have everything in your view and under control thanks to the redesigned and expanded instrument panel, ensuring you know everything that is happening with your bike at all times.
