The BMW S1000 R at its heart is a roadster, reduced down to the essentials to give you maximum performance.
The S1000 R design impresses from the second you lay eyes on it. The looks are striking, with its aggressive-looking ‘tail-up and nose-down’ design. The distinctive split face, makes it instantly recognisable from the front.
The bike’s defined shape runs along the body, giving it a clear and powerful look. The S1000 R demonstrates less of its muscular, sharp-edged skin. You may think it looks naked, we just think it’s focused on what’s important
Your S1000 R comes in three colour choices: Racing Red, Black Storm metallic or Light White. Whichever colour you choose, it will demonstrate the bike’s unrivalled performance and racing heritage.
The S1000 R has a high-performance four-cylinder in-line engine that has derived from the S1000 RR and boasts an impressive power output of 160bhp and maximum torque of 112Nm, which will put a smile on your face at every twist of the throttle.
Even with this effortless level of performance, the S1000 R still complies with Euro 4 emissions standards.
Whether you enjoy taking your bike to the track or simply want to enjoy a ride in the country, the S1000 R has you covered.
Your S1000 R has technology to help you keep the power under control. It is fitted with Race ABS and ASC (automatic stability control) as standard. In combination the two let you get the power down safely, whatever the conditions. You can activate and deactivate these features at any time, making for uninterrupted riding fun.
You can choose between two packages for the S1000 R. If you opt for the Sport package you get the Pro modes, which consist of Rain, Road + Dynamic, and Dynamic Pro. You also get DTC and shift assistant as standard, making your ride as enjoyable and fun as possible.
Alternatively you can choose the Dynamic package, which provides electronic suspension, heated grips, LED turn indicators and an engine spoiler in body colour.
You can also add cruise control to either package to make long journeys easier than ever.
