The BMW S1000 RR sets the benchmarks for superbikes with its class-leading technology design and performance.
The S1000 RR defines what a superbike should be, with its asymmetrical front headlights and distinctive split face making it instantly recognisable from the front.
The bike’s defined contours and shape run along the body, giving it a clear and purposeful look. The dynamically designed tail section and long engine spoiler help express the urge to move forward at pace.
The S1000 RR is available in three colour versions: Granite Grey with Black Storm metallic paint; Racing Red with Light White paint, and Light White with Lupin Blue metallic and Racing Red.
Whichever colour you choose; it will emphasise the bike’s unrivalled performance and racing heritage.
The new S1000 RR has an impressive power output of 199bhp and maximum torque of 113Nm, which almost brings it in line with the S1000 race bikes. This increase in power, in combination with a weight of 204kg (which has been reduced by 4kgs), means that the S1000 RR is now faster and more agile than ever before.
Even with this effortless level of performance, the S1000 RR still complies with the Euro 4 emissions standards.
Whether you want to ride the roads, or take your S1000 RR to the track, there is one thing that’s certain, and that’s that the S1000 RR won’t let you down.
The S1000 RR is full of technology to help you to experience its performance even more intensively, whilst maintaining an even better overview in any traffic situation.
You now get three riding modes – Rain, Sport and Race – that ensure optimal co-ordination of electric throttle, ABS and ASC, even in changing conditions (which is more than likely in the UK).
DTC Dynamic Traction Control and ABS, both of which are now standard on the S1000 RR, ensure better safety than ever before. Using an electric throttle means the bike's immense power can be dispensed even more finely and directly. This, in turn, means more fun for you.
With its exceptionally high resolution, the instrument panel provides a clear display of the selected settings, along with road speed and engine speed. As a result you have an optimal overview of the RR's performance and of your settings at all times.
