The R 18 Transcontinental offers you exclusive and luxurious travelling. The R 18 Transcontinental looks like it could just eat up the miles. The large front-wheel cover and the striking front end with both additional headlights form the starting point for the elegant streamlining. The 24-litre tank, wind deflectors, footboards and the topcase with backrest for the passenger complete the clearly defined look.

Marshall Gold Series Stage 2
The powerful 180 watt booster powers a total of six speakers: for maximum sound quality and absolute audio pleasure.
Wind deflector
The wind deflectors mounted on the engine guards are standard equipment. They provide more comfort in wind and weather.
Cockpit
Four traditional, analogue round instruments combine with one modern 10.25” TFT display: from the fuel level indicator to the navigation system and your playlist, it always provides you with all the information at a glance.
Front trim panel
The front trim panel that has been installed on the handlebars provides you with ideal protection from the elements in conjunction with the tall windscreen. The two LED additional headlights remain true to the original style and perfectly integrate into the R 18 Transcontinental’s lines to lend it an unmistakeable look.
Passenger seat
The particularly comfortable seat’s passenger seat features seat heating as standard and offers outstanding stability. The backrest has been seamlessly integrated into the adjacent topcase.
TFT display
Plenty of space for plenty of information. From map navigation to vehicle data and your playlist: easily keep an eye on everything thanks to the 10.25” TFT display.
Smooth travels with Active Cruise Control
Three letters, a big boost to safety: With the new ACC, your bike automatically maintains your desired speed and, via a radar sensor, a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
You already realise why the Big Boxer is called exactly that when you start it up. You can feel the vast displacement on every metre along the way. With its typical boxer power development you can rely on at minimum 150 Nm between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. The impressive torque and unspoilt responsiveness guarantee fully fledged pleasure in the long term – relaxed, but never boring. And the exposed, nickel-plated cardan shaft demonstrates just how much history we have packed into these 1802 cc. What now? Time to write your own history.
The R 18 Transcontinental is also available in an A2-compliant variant with 95 HP. This variant can be throttled, meaning your machine supports you when you hold your A2 driver’s license. You can enjoy the intuitive handling of the R 18 Transcontinental from the very beginning.
You can comfortably eat up the miles on the R 18 Transcontinental: Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) and optional Active Cruise Control independently control the speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead.
Furthermore three riding modes, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and dynamic engine brake control (MSR) guarantee more safety as standard.
Reverser, Hill Start Control and central locking system for cases and topcase optionally guarantee even more convenience per kilometre covered.
