5th of June 2017
Marshall BMW Motorrad Grimsby are proud to reveal that Craig Keyworth, a local businessman and loyal customer, has rolled away with second place at the 2017 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy UK Qualifier.
Held in the idyllic town of Ystradgynlais, South Wales, the competition took place on the 28th and 29th of May, providing two days of stunning mountain riding, alongside riveting challenges in order to complete the qualifying round.
Spanning across on- and off-road trails, the tasks set by BMW Motorrad included practical, teamwork and navigation tests, all with the aim of finding a trio of winners to represent Team GB at the 2018 GS Trophy International Final in Mongolia. Designed to be an inclusive and accessible event, the GS Trophy is an achievable goal for even recreational riders; with the challenges in the competition being so diverse, even motorbike masters cannot guarantee victory.
Taking part on a BMW R nineT Scrambler, Mr Keyworth took an honourable second place in the qualifier, with Pete Twigg coming first and Ben Luker third.
We can’t wait to hear how Mr Keyworth fares in the Mongolian challenge; everyone at Marshall has their fingers crossed for another win!
