The new SEAT Arona has finally had its big reveal, with the curtain officially lifted in Barcelona, before 250 international journalists.
Following the much-hyped releases of the new Lean and Ibiza models, SEAT continue to dominate with the introduction of the Arona; a compact crossover to revolutionise the SUV market.
With an overall SUV onslaught in the works, SEAT’s latest model will whet the appetite of all-terrain fans who are keen to see what’s next from the Spanish brand; a brand new large SUV is tipped for 2018, hot on the heels of the highly-anticipated Arona.
Compact, clever and cool, the Arona is small enough to meander the city for midweek necessities, while still being capable of letting loose at the weekend; SUV dynamics will keep you playing hard, while safety and connectivity technology is laid on thick. Staying true to SEAT’s heart, the Arona is also full of athletic energy, thanks to a collection of diesel and petrol and engines; all of which equipped with direct injection, turbocompressor and automatic stop/start system for efficiency. Three different petrol engines are fitted with an aluminium block, offering a choice of 95, 115 or 150PS; a gutsy diesel option will also join the ranks, available in 95 and 115PS.
The SEAT Arona will have its public debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September.
