Carrying out millions of CT scans and X-rays every year, SEAT use advanced technology to inspect every inner detail of their parts. Far from vanity, these tests ensure that fixings are of a high quality which can be sustained over a number of years; it takes a blemish of only a millimetre in size to cause a dent when a wheel hits a kerb, so it’s vital that all items can be assessed in detail.
With tests taking only a minute to produce results, a part can be seen in both 3D and in cross sections, allowing engineers to dissect the part for flaws before it hits the road as a component in one of SEAT’s high-quality vehicles.
