Stolen vehicle? We've got your back.
If your car has been taken, report it to the police straightaway so they can issue a case number. After that, visit the smart customer contact page to call the support line for the country where your vehicle is registered. From there, the smart partner call centre will handle all further communication on your behalf.

Travel to and from the breakdown location
Covers the technician’s journey to and from where the breakdown occurred.
On-site assistance
Includes minor repairs carried out directly at the breakdown location.
Towing
Your vehicle can be transported to the nearest authorised smart service partner. If you prefer a different authorised partner within 31.06 miles, they can be contacted instead.
Taxi/chauffeur service/ public transport*
We can arrange local transport to help you continue your journey. Costs of up to GBP 75 (net) per incident will be covered.
Replacement vehicle
A replacement car is available for the duration of the repair, up to a maximum of three working days. Standard rental conditions apply, such as applicable deductibles. The model provided will depend on availability. Additional expenses like fuel are not included.
Flight/train*
If you choose not to take a replacement vehicle, we can cover outbound and return flights or train travel for you and your passengers - up to GBP 400 (net) per person, per incident.
Hotel*
Accommodation, including breakfast, can be provided for you and your passengers for the duration of the repair, up to three working days, within the limit of GBP 400 (net) per person, per incident.
Return of the vehicle
Repatriation is arranged via group transport, with timing dependent on distance and location. If your vehicle cannot be repaired within three working days, we will organise its return to your chosen authorised smart service partner. smart will cover all associated costs.
Organisational support
If needed, the smart Europe Customer Engagement Center (CEC) can assist with organisational services - such as arranging a translator - through our service provider. These services are included at no extra cost.
*The price limits for mobility services are given in euros and converted into the respective national currency according to the current exchange rate.
