My BMW is the digital partner to your BMW, connecting you to your car and the world outside at any time and any place. From checking the health and status of your BMW, planning your next destination or even controlling certain functions remotely - the My BMW app unlocks a world of possibilities from the convenience of your smartphone, tablet or desktop. The latest generation of our connected app technology, My BMW evolves from the successful BMW Connected app providing an enhanced user experience, improved performance and includes brand new features for plug-in hybrid and electric models along with supporting the latest BMW technology including BMW Digital Key functionality. This guide outlines the key features of the app, helping you to get the most from your BMW.
My BMW's primary focus is to seamlessly connect you to your car, providing precise information about your BMW whenever you need it. The app offers an abundance of functionality that will boost your ownership experience, helping you to stay informed on your vehicle status, plan your next trip, pre-condition the cabin ahead of your journey and monitor and book any servicing requirements.
My BMW employs a fresh, modern and intuitive design. The clean layout groups functions into three core categories: 'Vehicle' 'Map' and 'Profile'. One or multiple BMWs can be connected to the app via the Garage function with data regularly refreshed to provide you with up to date information. *Model shown is representative and may differ to UK specification.
My BMW is the key to unlocking the full connected capabilities of your BMW. All of the familiar functions from the BMW Connected app have been redeveloped to deliver an enhanced experience with superior stability and performance, plus a range of brand new features for plug-in hybrid and electric models.
Download and connect your car through the My BMW app in just a few easy steps. The app is free of charge and supports all BMW models from 2014 to today.
You will be presented with the Welcome homepage. If you already have a BMW ConnectedDrive account, the same credentials can be used to login. Alternatively, if you are new to My BMW select 'New User? Create account’ and follow the instructions. You will then receive a confirmation email to validate your account.
Once the account is created, you can 'Add Vehicle'. Enter the unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) located on your driver side door frame.
Follow the simple instructions on the app to validate your security confirmation code.
The vehicle will now be successfully added and displayed on the My BMW App. To complete the setup, select 'Enable Remote Services'.
You should then be successfully set up on My BMW, allowing you to immediately enjoy the full connected capabilities of your BMW.
With the My BMW app set up, you can immediately benefit from an ever-growing range of convenient features and functions all available at your fingertips around the clock.

My BMW introduces exclusive functionality for Plug-in Hybrid and all-electric models with a range of charging and electric mobility functions.
Monitoring your electric charge could not be easier with Charging Push Notifications. You can stay up-to-date with the progress of your vehicle's charge via your smartphone notifications so you know exactly when it has completed or if any issues occur. My BMW also logs your charging history based on the time it took to charge, the charging point location and the additional miles that the charge provided.
With the Programmable Charging functionality you are able to set the most convenient time for your car to charge via the app, whether that is morning or night.
Whilst travelling to your destination the integrated map displays a visual range circle that demonstrates the remaining electric miles before you need to re-charge. If you require access to a public charging facility, My BMW sends you suggestions for the most convenient and available charging stations on your route.
Ahead of each journey you can use the app to pre-condition the cabin of your plug-in hybrid or electric BMW to the temperature previously set in the vehicle, and soon have the flexibility of even adjusting the desired temperature and timing of the pre-conditioning to ensure you are ready to start every journey in comfort.
