S G Smith CV Croydon Mercedes-Benz van and truck servicing successfully raised £400 for automotive charity BEN last month.
In similar fashion to other Marshall Group businesses around the UK, the Croydon centre participated in a number of light-fun activities involving their staff. Money was raised cleaning customers’ vehicles and, being specialists for commercial vehicles at the centre, there were plenty of vans in need of cleaning!
Additional activities held at the centre included a cake sale, guess the name of the cuddly bear and staff paid £5 to wear their favourite football team kit for the day.
Combined with last month’s fundraising event at Coulsdon, the two Croydon centres have raised over £900 in total for BEN.
BEN is a charity dedicated to providing the automotive industry, and their families, with support through a professional helpline. BEN helped 3,000 people last year, with approximately 80% of working age (16-65).
The Marshall Group has been a key fundraiser for BEN, with Chief Executive, Daksh Gupta, facing his fear of heights to skydive, as the first of the BEN ‘Industry Leader Challenge’, in a bid to raise £100,000 for the charity.
