The Peugeot 108 is a smart-looking city car that provides a comfortable ride and comes with plenty of standard equipment.
The 108 is available in Access, Active, Allure and GT Line trim levels. The former is available as a three-door model only, while all other grades additionally come in five-door iterations. The 108’s upmarket looks owe a lot to a ‘floating’ chrome front grille, sleek headlights (including LED daytime running lights) and claw-style tail lights – all available as standard. Allure trims and above feature 15-inch alloy wheels, while GT Line grades add a black rear spoiler. A Laser Red livery comes as standard, while solid paint colours such as Diamond White, Raven Black and Tahoe Blue can be selected as options.
Inside the 108 boasts a four-person cabin, the driver benefits from a telescopic steering wheel, while height-adjustable seating is available Active trims and above. A range of standard features include power-assisted steering, electric front windows and a 12-volt power point. Manual air-conditioning is available with Active grades and higher, while automatic air-conditioning is optional with GT Line trims. Allure and GT Line grades feature keyless entry and an engine stop/start button. A minimum-capacity 196-litre boot features a low load lip, which is particularly useful when placing heavy items into the vehicle
Three petrol engines are available with the 108, including a standard-issue 1.0-litre 67bhp unit. This is the most cost-effective option, returning as much as 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 95g/km. A 1.2-litre 81bhp engine delivers optimal torque (118Nm) and acceleration (0-60mph in a little over 11 seconds).
Audio entertainment is provided by a two-speaker sound system, which includes an AM/FM radio and AUX and USB inputs. With Active trims and higher, a seven-inch multi-function colour touchscreen becomes available, as does DAB radio, steering wheel-mounted controls, Bluetooth and two additional loudspeakers.
Standard safety features include Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-start Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX anchor points and front seatbelt reminders. Active grades and above add speed-limiting cruise control, while GT Line trims also feature Lane Departure Warning.
The vehicle is secured with a Thatcham-approved immobiliser and remote central locking.
