With the world changing at a rapid pace, Marshall Honda are at the forefront of sustainable driving that reduces fossil fuels and emissions.
We know that for some this change can be a little overwhelming so we have put together a little information to help you venture through this electric journey.
Our vision of an emission-free world comes closer into view with every electrified car we create. Our hybrid and electric vehicles are not only a joy to drive but also help contribute to a cleaner environment.
Here at Marshall Honda we are all about choice. That’s why we have different options available to suit you and your lifestyle. Our Pure Electric models and our Hybrid Models which utilise a self-charging e:HEV hybrid powertrain combining super fuel efficiency with exciting performance that you can really feel.
A pure electric car is powered by a plug-in battery and propelled by electric motors only. Just like with petrol & diesel cars you will still need to fill up, it’s just you will be filling up/charging with electric instead. Charge at home, at a charging station or anywhere with an electric socket!
There are a couple of charging options available such as:
The most common type of electric car charging socket, with charging stations all over the country.
Plug directly into regular 3-pin wall sockets. Useful if you have no home charging point installed.
Did you know there are now more charging stations than petrol stations
Just like plugging in your phone before you go to sleep, charging up your car at night should become a part of your daily routine.
Although the 3-pin socket cable we supply can be plugged straight into your wall, we still recommend getting a professional to install a dedicated charging point at your home. This will give you access to safer and faster charging whenever you need it.
All our plug-in hybrids are eligible for the Government’s Electric Homecharge Scheme, which provides you grant funding of up to £350 or 75% of the cost of installing a charger at home.
With a Honda plug-in hybrid you are free to enter ultra low emission zones whenever you like
If you’ve chosen a hybrid for environmental reasons, you can make it an even greener choice by switching your electricity supply to a renewable source (or even installing your own solar panels at home).

When braking or slowing down, the brake energy is transferred back to the battery for a longer range. This also gives you one pedal drive for a smoother and more controlled drive.
No tailpipe carbon dioxide or nitrogen oxide emissions while driving. Nothing but the pure joy of freedom – without the environment having to pay the price.
The pure electric powertrain provides a supremely inspiring, silent and refined drive, with an instant torque for fast take-offs and smooth, linear acceleration at all speeds.
A large battery gives a long range, so you don’t have to charge so often. And when you have to charge the car, it’s designed to make it easy and convenient – you can even do it at home.
