Full hybrid powertrain
The Prelude's advanced e:HEV hybrid system delivers instant torque and smooth performance using a 2.0-liter engine paired with dual electric motors. During regular driving, the car runs on electric power while the petrol engine efficiently acts as a built-in generator to recharge the battery—meaning you never have to plug it in. Honda developed the bespoke S+ Shift technology specifically to maximize driving excitement. This unique system combines the instant acceleration of a Honda full hybrid with simulated virtual gear changes, delivering the exhilarating responsiveness of a sports coupe without sacrificing hybrid efficiency. Built for enthusiastic drivers, S+ Shift selects the perfect "gear" to keep the engine in its power band for smooth, ready-to-go performance. For an intensified experience, use the steering wheel's paddle shifters to manually control sharper shifts, enhanced by a performance-inspired engine sound.
Three drive modes
The Prelude features three distinct drive modes—plus a customizable option—allowing you to tailor the car's performance to any situation. Each mode instantly adjusts key parameters, including the powertrain, throttle response, steering feel, suspension, and Adaptive Cruise Control:
Comfort Mode: Provides a relaxed driving experience with softer suspension and subdued engine sounds.
GT Mode: Offers responsive, yet smooth performance, making it ideal for pleasant, long-distance cruising.
Sport Mode: Delivers sharper throttle response, firmer suspension, increased chassis stiffness, and heightened steering sensitivity for an engaging drive.
Individual Mode: Allows you to fully customize each setting to match your personal preferences.
