The Mercedes-Benz E 220 d Saloon and Estate are now available with 4MATIC, the ultimate all-wheel drive system to tackle a host of usually challenging terrains.
Splitting torque by 45:55 to the front and rear wheels, 4MATIC sends power to where you need it the most; slippery terrain is always countered by an adequate amount of grip, without compromising on performance, control or dynamics.
Innovatively assessing sensor data from the wheel speeds, 4MATIC also adapts the steering wheel angle when required, as well as adjusting yaw and lateral acceleration; the result is a smooth, controlled drive, no matter what the elements may throw at you.
Prices start at £38,175 for the E 220 d 4MATIC Saloon. Order books are open now, with the first vehicles expected to hit the road in April.
