A four-door coupé with the sensibilities of an estate car, the Audi A7 Sportback belies its size thanks to powerful engines and expert styling.
The new Audi A7 Sportback continues Audi's winning streak of designing extremely desirable cars that not only look exceptionally good but will continue to do so for years to come. It's a classic design, with flowing lines gliding effortlessly over the extra rear-passenger doors to make the car look smaller than it actually is. The A7 Sportback is actually a highly practical executive car at heart, albeit one that looks and behaves like a sporty little coupé, which serves to give drivers the best of both worlds. Alloy wheels are available with each of the three trims and range between 19 and 21-inch.
Unsurprisingly the Audi A7 Sportback's interior is a treat from the moment you open the door and take a seat. Audi is building a reputation that rests on the quality of its engineering and manufacturing, so the mixture of Milano leather seats, soft plastic decals and substantial controls creates a luxurious environment. There's even a split folding rear seat, whilst the seats in the S Line and Black Edition trim Seats are upholstered in black Balcony leather and embossed with the S line logo.
A bigger, more powerful, car than its peers, the new Audi A7 Sportback comes with a range of diesel engines that are all 3.0-litre. The diesel-only approach means that each engine is economical for its size, and produces various amounts of power and CO2. The cleanest engine is the 3.0-litre TDI, which produces 122g/km of CO2, whilst the 3.0-litre BiTDI quattro engine trades more impressive power output for higher emissions, producing 167g/km of CO2.
Both the SE and S Line trim options for the Audi A7 Sportback come with the Audi sound system, DAB digital radio and smartphone connectivity as standard. The Black Edition however takes audio one step further, with the option of a specialist Bose sound system for extra clarity and sound quality. Information is displayed clearly and concisely on the Audi A7 Sportback's retractable colour screen.
The A7 Sportback comes with a huge selection of safety features across all three trim options, with cruise control, the Audi Parking System Plus, hill-hold assist and a tyre pressure loss indicator readily available.
