The ford Transit Connect is a compact yet hugely practical van that doubles as a mobile office for your business. It projects a professional and contemporary image wherever it goes.
The Transit Connect is available as a short and long wheelbase model. Its rounded, aerodynamic body cuts through the air more efficiently, saving fuel.
Base models come with excellent levels of standard equipment, including a kerbside load door, 16-inch steel wheels and integrated door mirror blindspot eliminator. Trend models gain front fog lights, body-coloured rear bumper and Quickclear heated windscreen. Range topping Limited models get rear parking sensors, static cornering lights and body-coloured exterior trim.
The cabin of the Transit Connect has been designed with driver ergonomics in mind, and also to serve as a mobile base for your business. The tough-yet-tactile materials stand up to the rigours of hard use, so that they always look smart and professional. Lots of cubby holes and storage compartments ensure that everything has a place.
Standard interior features across the range include electric windows, DAB digital radio and fully adjustable steering wheel. Trend models add an eight-way adjustable driver's seat and load-through bulkhead, while Limited gives you more luxurious touches like a heated driver's seat, air conditioning and cruise control.
Because Ford understands that running a commercial vehicle or commercial fleet can be costly, they have equipped the Transit Connect with a choice of highly-efficient petrol and diesel engines. The 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol produces 99bhp and can return up to 50.4mpg on a combined journey, with Auto-Start-Stop technology. Alternatively, a 1.5-litre TDCi unit makes 118bhp and 300Nm of torque, while being capable of 64.2mpg on a combined cycle and producing just 115g/km of CO2.
Protecting you and your cargo is of paramount importance. Active electronic systems like anti-lock brakes, emergency brake assist and electronic stability control make sure that you stay firmly planted on the road in all conditions. Driver's airbags are standard and the body of the Transit Connect is designed to progressively collapse and deflect impact energy away from the cabin.
Power door deadlocks and remote central locking are standard, while an optional Thatcham category one and perimeter anti-theft alarm are available options for added peace of mind.
