Celebrating the run of the immensely popular Civic Type R, Honda have revealed a limited Black Edition to round off manufacture of the current model.
Limited to the final 100 units to roll off the production line, the Honda Civic Type R Black Edition will flaunt a black interior with statement red highlights, alongside red rear wing end plates on the spoiler; instantly identifiable as the quintessential ‘race car on the road’, the Type R’s exclusive trim further showcases its potent athletic DNA.
Featuring a turbocharged 2.0 litre VTEC TURBO petrol engine, peak power output of 310 PS at 6,500 rpm and peak torque of 400 Nm at 2,500 rpm, the Honda Civic Type R transcends all previous specifications of the model. The progression of the Honda Civic is set to continue with the all-new version to be released in March, closely flanked by the new Type R to be unveiled in late 2017.
