All-Electric, Plug-in Hybrid and Mild Hybrids available at Marshall Jaguar Cambridge, Cheltenham & Gloucester, Ipswich, Lincoln, Newbury, Oxford & Peterborough.

Driving towards a cleaner, sustainable future not only helps to protect our planet, it can be kinder on your pockets too. Explore the financial factors that make the move to electric even more worth your while.

All-Electric (BEV) Key Factors

Electricity is cheaper per mile

The cost of electricity is lower per mile than petrol or diesel, making all-electric cars much cheaper to run on a daily basis. In fact, on average you could save £3600 over 3 years compared to a petrol or diesel car driving over 30,000 miles*.

Zero tailpipe emissions means zero tax

Across the UK, all-electric cars are exempt from the regular road tax and any emissions-based charges, including the London Congestion Charge.

0% benefit in kind (BIK) tax for company cars¹

Under the government’s emissions-based company car mandate, all-electric car owners won’t pay any monthly BIK tax charges for the financial year 2020/21.

Lower servicing costs

As all-electric powertrains have fewer moving parts than a petrol or diesel engine, and regenerative braking capabilities are relatively gentler on brakes and tyres, servicing costs are lower.

Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) Key Factors

Electricity is cheaper per mile

The cost of electricity is lower per mile than petrol or diesel, making Plug-in Hybrid cars much cheaper to run on a daily basis. In fact, on average you could save £1230 over 3 years compared to a petrol or diesel car driving over 30,000 miles**.

Free from congestion charges

Across the UK, some Plug-in Hybrid cars are exempt from all emissions-based charges, including the London Congestion Charge2.

10-13% benefit in kind (BIK) tax for company cars¹

Under the government’s emissions-based company car mandate, PHEV owners will only pay 10-13% in monthly BIK tax charges for the financial year 2020/21.

Save up to £350 on home charge installation¹

The government’s Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme provides up to £350 towards a professionally installed home charger. Scottish residents may also be eligible for up to £300 in additional savings from the Energy Savings Trust.
