CHARGING YOUR JAGUAR AT HOME

All-Electric, Plug-in Hybrid and Mild Hybrids available at Marshall Jaguar Cambridge, Cheltenham & Gloucester, Ipswich, Lincoln, Leicester, Newbury, Oxford & Peterborough.

When it comes to charging your Jaguar, there’s no place like home. Simply plug in your vehicle on an evening – just as you would your mobile phone – and by morning you can be fully charged and ready to go.

Home chargers – the perfect way to recharge

For the fastest charging time at home, we recommend a professionally-installed home charger – also known as a wall box or home charging point.

Installation will typically require private off-street parking – such as a driveway or garage – to connect to your home’s electricity. Please check the suitability of your property with your chosen home charger provider.

Wake up ready to go

A home charger will charge an all-electric car overnight and deliver up to 22 miles* of range from 60 minutes using a 7kW supply.

Save money every month

Charging at home is not only convenient, the cost of electricity is less per mile compared to petrol and diesel. And you can reduce this further with an off-peak electricity tariff.

Quality assured

Our recommended home chargers come pre-approved by the government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and can be used in all weather conditions.

AC charging

The top part of the vehicle’s CCS inlet is used for AC charging. This is known as a Type 2 connector and compatible with your home charger, public AC charging points and domestic 3-pin plug sockets.

Rapid DC charging

The lower half of the vehicle’s CCS inlet features two pins that combine with three pins above to provide rapid DC charging into the battery. The two lower pins can be accessed by removing the inlet’s lower socket cover.

1. Choose your provider

To start your wall box installation process, choose from our two recommended home charging partners – Pod Point or Andersen EV.⁴

2. Suitability survey

Your chosen charging provider will undertake a survey over the phone or online to determine the suitability of your property for a wall box. General requirements include off-street parking, a suitable electrical power supply to your meter and a 100-amp main fuse.

3. Arrange installation date

Agree an installation date with your chosen provider. If you qualify for a government grant to help with the installation cost, your provider will do this on your behalf.

4. Installation and demo

Once your installation date comes around, your chosen provider will install your wall box and talk you through the basics of charging.

Marshall Jaguar, Save up to £350 with the Government Grant
Marshall Jaguar, Three-pin sockets provide added peace of mind

Save up to £350 with the Government Grant⁶

All Jaguar all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars qualify for the government’s EV chargepoint grant. This provides up to £350 towards the installation of a wall box by an approved installer.

Three-pin sockets provide added peace of mind

If you’re away from home for longer periods and a home charger is not accessible, the standard 3-pin plug socket used for electric household items will also charge your vehicle at a much slower rate. This is achieved by simply plugging in your Jaguar's optional Domestic Plug (Mode 2) charging cable.

SAVE UP TO £14,000 ON WORKPLACE CHARGING

The government’s Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) reduces the employer's purchase and installation cost of a new workplace charging point by up to 75% (capped at £350 per point).

A business can claim a maximum of 40 sockets.
