With more power and speed than ever before, the latest release from Land Rover encompasses the marque’s exceptional capability, with a nod to the unwavering classic appeal of the Defender.
The 405PS Defender Works V8 celebrates 70 years of Land Rover success, with an unrivalled specification; boasting a 5.0-litre petrol V8 engine, the Defender Works can sprint from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds, with an increased top speed of 106mph. The sublime V8 powertrain will be applied to 150 carefully-selected and re-engineered Defender models which will comprise the anniversary release, including an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with sport mode, uprated brakes and handling kit (springs, dampers and anti-roll bars), plus exclusive 18-inch diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels.
The Defender Works V8 will be instantly identifiable to Land Rover enthusiasts, thanks to eight striking body colours, including two with a luxurious satin finish. A contrasting Santorini Black roof, machined aluminium door handles, fuel filler cap and Defender bonnet lettering all combine to produce a polished and distinctive appearance, with flawless command of all terrains – Just as a Land Rover should be.
Available with either a 90 or 110 wheelbase, the Defender
Works V8 will be available to purchase direct from Land Rover Classic, with prices
starting from £150,000.
