Drivers who are caught with stowaways this year should expect a significant rise in fines. Carriers will be required to pay up to £10,000 for each migrant found inside their lorry starting on February 13. Right now, it can reach £2,000.
If businesses can show they have made every attempt to abide by the rules on securing vehicles and they are members of the Civil Penalty Accreditation Scheme, penalties may be remitted.
After previously being postponed from last year, the Entry/Exit System (EES), which would have non-EU citizens fingerprinted and photographed at crossings, has now been delayed until the end of 2023. With each subsequent trip to the EU, the fingerprints and photos acquired during the original visit will need to be verified.
Financial assistance is provided by a scrappage programme to eligible Londoners so they can get rid of their highest polluting.
In order to get ready for the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to all London boroughs beginning on August 29, 2023, qualified Londoners can take advantage of a £110 million scrappage programme that offers financial support to help them get rid of their highest polluting vehicles.

Service24h is the roadside support service from Mercedes-Benz. Our qualified Mercedes-Benz Technicians work to provide you with around-the-clock assistance throughout the UK and Europe. The average response time for the Mercedes-Benz Vans roadside assistance unit is 66 minutes, with 87% of vans fixed at the roadside and sent on their way.
The eVito’s 66kWh battery is mounted beneath the body allowing the space needed in the cargo area to provide technicians with a practical workspace and to carry equipment and parts. The van has an average range of 162 miles.

Since shortly after they arrived both have been on 24-hour hire to our local water supplier,” explained Mr Simpson, “helping to deal with parts of the drainage network that have experienced very high flows with all the heavy rain we’ve seen in this region.” He continued: “These are still relatively early days but we’re very confident that we’ve made a wise choice. The Arocs are performing strongly while the feedback from our drivers has been extremely positive, with the comfortable, well-equipped cabs coming in for particular praise.‘’
