Running a truck can mean high costs. For as little as £2.50 per week, Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) uses GPS data and 3D maps to scan the road ahead, and decide what measures to take, just like a driver does. So you can optimise your fuel consumption, and actively save on it through every journey, no matter what route you take.
What is PPC?
Predictive Powertrain Control is our unique cruise control system that helps you save money through intelligent predictions of your journey. It generates an electronic horizon which combines digital 3D maps and GPS data to scan the road ahead. The system then adjusts speed while rolling and making gear changes as necessary, to save you as much fuel as possible – up to 5% in long distance traffic.
Availability.
Available on all new Actros, Antos and Arocs models that are fitted with Mercedes PowerShift 3 and are for operations up to 44t*. PPC can also be retrofitted.
*PPC cannot be fitted if the customer has a specialist driving program (Municipal or Fire-service) or the vehicle has been specified with a Turbo Retarder Clutch or the G280-16/11.7-0.69 transmission.
Cost.
Predictive Powertrain Control is available on New Actros Euro VI models funded on MBFS full contract hire at £2.50 per week on all terms from 2-5 years regardless of mileage where specified at point of order.
