A pickup with all the traits of a Mercedes-Benz passenger
car. That’s the magic behind the X-Class.
Built for the off-road, built for practicality, built for comfort, built for strength… Take your pick. The X-Class perfectly balances an exceptionally diverse range of characteristics, from typical load-carrier to a luxury SUV. It’s in a class of its own.
With classic Mercedes-Benz design and premium styling, the X-Class is far from rough and ready. Three trim levels capture various owner requirements; PURE offers the basic muscle, PROGRESSIVE ups the opulence for a plusher interior, while POWER pushes the envelope for high-end everyday travel.
Showing off a generous selection of engines from 4 to 6 cylinders, the entry-level offering sits comfortably at an X 220 d (120 Kw/163 hp) diesel, while the top bar rests at the V6 diesel (190Kw/285 hp), due to join the family in mid-2018.
As comfortable as your favourite Mercedes-Benz saloon, the new X-Class features a wide track, spring and dampening system, for a sumptuously smooth ride; in addition, coil springs and internally vented disc brakes at both the front and back ensure that the X-Class is just as at home on-road as it is off.
4MATIC all-wheel drive with low range gearing and optional differential lock at the rear works to keep the X-Class steady on all-terrain, while a permanent all-wheel drive aims to cement the range in the latter part of next year.
As with any vehicle that bears the three-pointed star, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class boasts the finest safety features. Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Traffic Sign Assist are your all-seeing eye, while Mercedes me connect will seamlessly cohere to your smartphone to your vehicle; not only can you stay on top of your contacts and media, but access a wealth of convenient services including your X-Class’ location and fuel level.
The Mercedes-Benz X-Class: X marks the spot.
