Loaded roller brake testing is now a standard feature of our enhanced Service Contracts that were introduced on 1 July 2021. The test is now carried out during every Safety Inspection, wherever possible, for total peace of mind*.
Benefits of a loaded roller brake test include:
*Due to basic design limitations, or restrictions caused by the type of cargo in the vehicle there may be some instances when a laden test would not be possible, as identified in the DVSA ‘’Heavy vehicle brake test: best practise’’.
Mercedes-Benz Service Contracts lead the way in ensuring that a meaningful test of brake efficiency is delivered, with your truck loaded to a minimum of 65% of the design axle weight of each axle, ensuring total confidence in your fleet.
