The specification for the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster and GT R have been revealed, promising a spine-tingling driving experience for those who enjoy a truly athletic ride.
Stationed at the top of the line, the AMG GT R Coupe generates 585 hp and 700 Nm, sprinting to 62mph from standstill in just 3.6 seconds. Emitting 259 g/km of CO2 with a combined fuel economy of 24.8 mpg, the GT R possesses all the spirit of the racetrack; as a result, an AMG Track package can be purchased for an additional £1,685, adding critical detail to make racing a reality. Four-point seat belt harnesses, a fire extinguisher and roll cage are all included in the extra bundle, with carbon ceramic brakes also available for a further £5,995.
The GT Roadster and GT C Roadster feature a similarly tenacious 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine, with the GT Roadster generating 476 hp, while the GT C Roadster musters a further 81 hp. The GT Roadster powers from 0 to 62mph in just 4 seconds, while the GT C Roadster ups the ante at a goosebump-inducing 3.7 seconds; emitting 259 g/km of CO2 and climbing to 24.8 mpg, it’s a drive you won’t forget.
Aesthetically, the GT Roadster is every inch the opulent sports car; 19-inch alloy wheels, AMG Panamericana grille, wind deflector, AMG performance exhaust system, heated AMG seats and black Nappa leather upholstery are all featured as standard, with AIRSCARF for added comfort.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster is open to order from £110,145, while the AMG GT C Roadster has a starting price of £139,445. The AMG GT R is also available now, from £143,245.
