Highlighting a new age for the combined fuel-cell and battery powertrain, the Mercedes-Benz GLC F-CELL is preparing for series production.
Introduced at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt this year, the new GLC F-CELL is expected to be pivotal in the development of all-electric driving, introducing further enhancement of EQ Power technology. Fuel-cell and battery innovation will work in unison as part of a plug-in hybrid, adding hydrogen to electricity and creating an enviable long-distance motoring machine.
Loaded with 4.4kg of hydrogen, the preproduction model of the GLC F-CELL can span a range of 437 km in the NEDC, with the ability to stretch this to 49km – all thanks to a substantial lithium-ion battery.
Ensuring no loss of statement Mercedes-Benz performance, the GLC F-CELL produces an output of 147 Kw, while producing zero emissions; a true statement of sustainable strength.
