Nissan Accelerates The Switch To Full Electric

Nissan is accelerating its transition to a zero-emission future with its EV36Zero hub in Sunderland, UK. This ambitious project involves the production of three electric vehicles (EVs), the construction of three gigafactories, and an investment of up to £3bn. The transformation will not only see the introduction of electric versions of the Qashqai and JUKE crossovers but also the next-generation LEAF, the iconic EV that spearheaded the industry's electrification.

Powered by a renewable energy microgrid, the EV36Zero hub will be a cornerstone of Nissan's European operations, with the company aiming for all its new cars in Europe to be fully electric by the end of 2023. This commitment aligns with Nissan's Ambition 2030 vision, driving a sustainable future for the company and its customers.
