Workers at Britain’s largest car plant in Sunderland are gearing up to produce the third-generation LEAF, Nissan’s pioneering electric vehicle that sparked the EV revolution. With production starting later this year, the new LEAF will feature a striking aerodynamic design and be built on Nissan’s advanced CMF-EV platform, shared with the larger ARIYA.

As part of Nissan’s EV36Zero project, this initiative will transform the Sunderland plant into a flagship EV hub, combining electric vehicles, renewable energy, and battery production – driving sustainability forward.
