Portsmouth Naval Base are making waves with a fleet of all-electric Nissan e-NV200 Combi Vans.

In a bid to save money, increase efficiency and reduce emissions, 48 all-electric e-NV200 Combi vans have descended upon Portsmouth Naval Base, replacing a third of the fleet belonging to BAE Systems; the company of whom manage the site on behalf of the Royal Navy.

The move to 100% electric vehicles is tipped to save the company £360,000 in fuel and associated expenses while the contract is in place. In addition, 26 charging points and 28 designated parking bays for electric vehicles will also be unveiled, with the new fleet to reduce CO2 emissions by a massive 40%.
