A well-rounded family car that offers incredible practicality and unparalleled road handling, the Ford S-MAX is proof that transporting multiple people need not come at the expense of driver engagement.
Fully adjustable for the best possible driving position, the sports-style driver's seat of the S-MAX puts all vehicle controls at your fingertips. A leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob offer excellent tactile interaction, while dual-zone climate control and over-head stowage help keep passengers comfortable.
Titanium and Titanium Sport models also gain a Ford DAB digital radio with SYNC 2 connectivity, a 10.1-inch colour TFT cluster display and cruise control. Optional extras include Active Park Assist that parks the car for you, a hands-free tailgate that can be opened by waving your foot under the rear bumper and a panoramic sunroof.
The Ford S-MAX is available as a self-charging hybrid, achieving greater efficiency while still delivering impressive power, torque and reduced CO2 emissions.

S-MAX is now available with a new FHEV (Fully Hybrid Electric Vehicle) powertrain. This 2.5-litre petrol engine hybrid system delivers 190PS and 200Nm of torque – exceptional figures for a hybrid. Its equally impressive towing capacity of up to 1750 kg lets you take anything from a jet ski to a small caravan on your travels. As you’d expect, the engine is also fuel-efficient, and has a reduced fuel emission. There’s no need for plug-in charging, and the battery is nested under the boot floor, so you don’t lose any luggage space.
Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces just 20% longer than your vehicle. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system locate a suitable space as you drive past. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).
