Ford Performance have lifted the lid on their third-generation Ford Fiesta ST, boasting an all-new three-cylinder 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine. Providing an impressive 200PS and 290Nm of torque, the latest incarnation of the Fiesta ST is predicted to sprint for 0-62mph in an exhilarating 6.7 seconds.
The impeccably refined engine which purrs beneath the hood of the new ST is the first three-cylinder unit to grace the model line; selectable Drive Modes also make their debut in this particular release, with engine, steering and stability controls customized between Normal, Sport and Track. Designed to be powerful yet easy to handle, Electronic Sound Enhancement (ESE) technology also plays a critical part in the enjoyment of the Fiesta ST’s sporting credentials; exhaust noise control ensures the guttural resonance of the engine can be both heard and felt, providing pure goosebumps.
Despite being an engulfing powerhouse, the Ford Fiesta ST is pleasantly frugal, with reduced CO2 emissions of an anticipated 114g/km; a light carbon footprint for a comparatively large stride.
