Forge a new path with the Nissan X-Trail, now including a host of upgrades.

20th September 2017

Revamped from the inside to out, the new Nissan X-Trail adds a premium edge to an existing adventure mainstay, including innovative ProPILOT autonomous technology.

With five or seven-seat variants available, the Nissan X-Trail remains a top-selling vehicle for the brand, proving a firm favourite for those who crave a more comfortable way to enjoy the elements.

On the outside, the new Nissan X-Trail has had a visible refresh. A ‘V-motion’ grille adds increased road presence, while the X-Trail’s body colour has been spread further, adding gloss black finishes to visible black plastic. In addition, daytime running lights have been upgraded to the X-Trail’s ‘boomerang’ hallmark, while full LED and dipped beams now feature in an Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS). At the rear, the bumper is offered all the more stance with additional chrome detailing, while the rear lights have been upgraded to lustrous full LED.

Sink into the cabin of the new Nissan X-Trail and the sumptuous treats just keep coming. A new D-shaped steering wheel takes the centre spot, with a horizontal base making it easy to get in and out of the vehicle, without the need to squeeze. Heated seats are a new standard for the Tekna trim level, while the second row of seats make for a more comfortable journey than ever, with class-leading knee room. Need to keep the troops entertained? No problem. An eight-speaker sound system by BOSE will keep toes tapping from door to destination.

With function truly at the fore, the Nissan X-Trail keeps convenience accessible. Got your hands full? The electric tailgate can be opened by simply shaking a foot under the rear bumper. Once the boot is open, you’ll notice that it’s bigger than ever; the five-seat variant offers 550 to 565 litres with all the seats in place, while the seven-seater keeps up the pace with 445 litres. Fold all of those seats flat and you can make use of an engulfing 1,996 litres. Go on… Take your spare wellies, just in case.

Keen to make travel as stress-free as possible, Nissan is proud to introduce ProPILOT to the X-Trail line-up, adding automated driving to your everyday. Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control and Traffic Jam Pilot leave you able to trust your car with the basics, while you concentrate on the detail. Meanwhile, additional safety features act as a sixth sense, with the inclusion of Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Recognition. In addition, Stand Still Assist joins forces with Hill Start Assist, holding the car stationary for up to three minutes, at which point the parking brake is applied automatically.

Under the hood, a choice of three engines give the X-Trail all the oomph it needs to complete real-world quests, including a 2.0-litre 177PS diesel. Suitable for a whole host of individual needs, drivers can choose from low and high-powered engines, six-speed manual or automatic transmission, as well as two or four-wheel drive.

Forge a new path with the Nissan X-Trail today, from just £23,285.
