The verdict is out – the new Nissan Qashqai is making headlines for all the right reasons in the UK’s leading motoring magazines and websites.
At the forefront of the positive coverage is What Car?, which describes itself as "Britain’s biggest and best car buyer’s guide."
The magazine prominently declares the new Qashqai as "the year's hottest car" on the cover of its June issue, calling the model's launch "huge news."
Writer Darren Moss informs readers that the Qashqai has undergone significant revamps both inside and out, with major tech upgrades among the changes. He states, "You won’t struggle to tell the new Qashqai apart from the outgoing model" due to its more striking front end.
Across a generous six pages in the magazine, Darren reports that new Qashqai’s infotainment system now incorporates Google functionality; on upper trim levels there are ‘‘generous levels of Alcantara suede’’ and he welcomes the retention of physical climate controls – easy to operate on the move.
Other publications have been equally positive about the launch of new Qashqai.
Auto Express concentrated on the on-board technology, noting it had received the most significant upgrades, and highlighted the car's much sharper design.
Car magazine stated that the Qashqai’s new look would “strengthen its already firm grip on the compact crossover segment,” while Autocar remarked that the bold new design would “bring it into line with the electric ARIYA, boost its efficiency, and secure its position as one of Europe’s most popular cars.”
Over at Sunday Times Driving, writer James Fossdyke highlighted the Qashqai’s new N-Design trim level, noting it "is intended to accentuate the car’s shape with a cleaner, sportier look, and comes with bespoke 20-inch alloy wheels."
Meanwhile, Carwow, described the Qashqai’s new look as a "pretty extensive facelift," while This is Money summarized by highlighting its "bolder exterior design, improved quality interior, and better connectivity thanks to built-in Google."
Publications focusing on fleets and dealers were eager to share their opinions as well. Fleet World emphasized the Qashqai’s "revamped and sharper-looking headlights and daytime running lights," while Car Dealer Magazine noted its "bold look and improved technology."
