Coinciding with the highly-anticipated launch of their premium SUV, SKODA have an extra treat in store; their cornerstone interactive network offering, SKODA Connect.
Every SKODA Kodiaq sold with an Amundsen or Columbus navigation system will be fitted with the new Infotainment Online service, revealing a host of new options to truly open the world of driving a SKODA to an unprecedented level.
Online traffic information will display how free or congested the movement on a required route will be, while simultaneously suggesting an effective detour in the case of traffic jams, ensuring that you always reach your destination in a timely and stress-free manner. In addition, customised information regarding fuel prices, parking information, news and weather can also be clearly displayed, so you needn’t be caught short.
With the addition of Care Connect, an array of Proactive Services and Remote Vehicle Access solutions are also at your fingertips; data exchanged via an on-board SIM card will make sure that communication is always up-to-the-minute. The Emergency Call function, as a prominent example of Proactive Services in action, will automatically alert the emergency services if a restraint system such as an airbag is deployed. In addition, Emergency Calls can also be prompted via a button on the roof module, so assistance is never out of reach. Vehicle maintenance, such as servicing, is also second-guessed by the Proactive Services feature; service data is automatically recorded and relayed, so you can be contacted by your retailer to arrange such appointments in good time.
Remote Vehicle Access, available via the SKODA Connect app, allows users to access statistics such as headlight status, fuel level and door locking activity; in addition, the Parking function will show where the car is stationed, as well as a Honk & Flash function to help locate the vehicle via the horn and indicators. The app itself is complimented by the SKODA Connect portal, which allows users to link data between the car, smartphone and home computer, building a diverse hub of knowledge.
Upon purchase of a new SKODA Kodiaq, Care Connect and the Infotainment Online portfolio can be accessed for free for the first year, with a subscription fee thereafter.
