The re-designed SKODA Octavia Scout is here to take you further into the great outdoors than ever before; without having to leave your comfort zone.
Aesthetically, the Scout instantly reads as an off-road vehicle, with its all-wheel drive functionality translated by silver-coloured underbody protection at the front and rear. Standard equipment includes the ‘Rough Road’ package, which includes the plastic undercarriage cover, as well as protecting the brake and fuel lines. The Scout is also a significant 30mm higher than the SKODA Octavia Estate; this extra road clearance allows the new model to stand tall, with a superior road presence.
Designed for maximum enjoyment when off the beaten track, the Scout features an electronically controlled, hydraulic multi-plate clutch, as well as EDL to transmit power to both the front and rear axles; for the Octavia Scout, pulling away on challenging surfaces is like a hot knife through butter.
If you’re on a tricky descent, the Scout uses an Off-Road function to ensure that speed is consistent and manageable, without driver intervention. Continuing to provide maximum convenience, SKODA’s ‘Simply Clever’ features ensure that every drive is hassle-free. The heated steering wheel and seats, for example, are kitted out with a Thermo-Flux function, ensuring that you stay comfortable when the climate is unpredictable.
The SKODA Octavia Scout is also available with a choice of two gutsy engines, ranging from 110 kW (150 PS) to 135 kW (184 PS); teamed with an enviable host of driver assistance systems, it’s no wonder that this model is a cornerstone of its segment and a true competitor in the bustling off-road market.
